The smartwatch market is booming, and the sub-Rs 5,000 price range is where the most competition is.

Desirable features of the ideal smartwatch include ample monitoring modes, accurate sensor data, powerful tracking software, and long battery life. However, there are also outdoor, rugged models that are steadily gaining in popularity. Today, most watches focus on these indicators. NoiseFit Force Strong vs Fire-Bolt Cobra Strong Outdoor Smartwatch: Design, display and performance

design

The NoiseFit Force smartwatch has a traditional circular dial with a beefy appearance. The watch uses both metal and plastic in its construction. The watch is undoubtedly large for most wearers, measuring 50mm in diameter, which is the ideal size for a rugged outdoor smartwatch. It has two buttons on the right side, one at the two o’clock position and the other at the four o’clock position. Between the two buttons is a notch reminiscent of the Apple Watch rotary crown, which gives the watch some innovation, especially considering how much the NoiseFit Force costs. The underplate of the watch, which is made of plastic, houses all the necessary HR sensors as well as the charger’s pogo pin connector. Due to its IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, the watch is a great device for the price.

In contrast, the Fire-Bolt Cobra rugged smartwatch has a square dial that was inspired by the Apple Watch. The Fire-Boltt Cobra rugged smartwatch, like the NoiseFit Force, is built using a combination of metal and plastic and features a premium watch strap. It has a two-button design and an IP68 rating, making it dust and water resistant, as would be expected from a rugged outdoor smartwatch. Apart from the HR sensor suite, a microphone, a speaker unit and pogo pin connectors for charging the internal battery, the bottom plate of the Fire-Bolt Cobra Rugged watch is also made of plastic. The Fire-Bolt Cobra Rugged smartwatch is slightly larger than the NoiseFit Force in terms of size, partly due to the Fire-Bolt’s design and larger display.

Another area where the NoiseFit Force and Fire-Boltt Cobra rugged smartwatches differ from each other is the display. The circular dial of the NoiseFit Force houses a nearly bezel-less 1.32-inch LCD panel with 360×360 pixel resolution and 550 nits of maximum brightness. NoiseFit Force includes a selection of 150 pre-installed watch faces to go with the circular dial.

On the other hand, the Fire-Bolt Cobra Rugged smartwatch features a 1.78-inch AMOLED panel with 60Hz refresh rate, 368×448 pixel resolution, Always-on display mode, and 500 nits peak brightness. With the help of the companion app, the Fire-Bolt Cobra Rugged comes with a selection of 100 watch faces that can be switched between.

Display

Both the NoiseFit Force and the FireBolt Cobra Rugged smartwatch include the same set of sensors, including a continuous heart-rate monitor, blood oxygen monitor, sleep tracker, and accelerometer. Both these watches have respective companion apps that provide in-depth metrics on a range of features such as PPG sensor, sleep tracking, continuous heart rate monitoring, step counter and more.

Both the watches connect to smartphones via a Bluetooth 5.1 connection and can be paired with either an Android or an iPhone. The 300mAh battery inside the NoiseFit Force allows it to last up to 40 days in power-saving mode and about 7 days with typical usage. However, the FireBolt Cobra Rugged smartwatch has a 15-day typical use life and a 30-day battery-saving mode life.
