While the incident, which took place in Bengaluru a few weeks ago and whose video went viral, did not involve any human fatalities, the company reinstated its safety standards for the batteries &#8211; a bone of contention among EVs in India since last year. Key point &#8211; continue to stay intact.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"otherDiv\">\n<h2>Aether energy: what does it say about the phenomenon<\/h2>\n<p>A statement was published on Ather&#8217;s official Twitter account, confirming that the client in question was safe, and that there was no further damage. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/atherenergy\/status\/1623277605200986112\">Said<\/a>, \u201cOur teams investigated and identified the root cause of the problem at the wiring harness assembly.  One of the motor controller&#8217;s connectors was torqued incorrectly, resulting in sparking around the controller terminals.<\/p>\n<p>The wiring harness had caught fire by the time the safety redundancy system kicked in to cut off the power supply at this point and prevent any fatal damage, the company statement said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe battery, BMS (battery management system) and dashboard remained completely unaffected during the incident.  The incident was unrelated to the battery thermal runaway incident and the battery continued to operate normally after the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the issue as a &#8220;rare human error&#8221;, Ather Energy&#8217;s statement said the company has &#8220;updated manufacturing operations&#8221; and &#8220;equipment&#8221; accordingly, and has taken a &#8220;two-step&#8221; approach to prevent such incidents. verification process&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h2>what does explanation mean<\/h2>\n<p>The battery harness issue in question appears to be an isolated issue, caused by faulty wiring on a single unit.
