The handset brings competition in the mid-range smartphone segment with a price tag of under Rs 20,000 in India.  The Redmi Note 12 5G is a popular choice among the Indian audience in this range.  Can Moto G73 compete with Redmi Note 12 5G? Redmi built the Note 12 5G with polycarbonate glass at the back and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3-protected display, sandwiching its plastic chassis.  The curved rear panel houses a glossy square island that houses a triple camera setup and an LED flash. The Redmi Note 12 5G has an IP53 water and dust rating and should offer some protection against splashes of water.  It has a side-mounted fingerprint reader, which sits below the volume rocker on the right side for security.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve ever owned a Motorola smartphone, the Moto G73 should feel like home.  It flaunts the typical Motorola design made of plastic.  Like the Redmi Note 12 5G, the Moto G73 features a curved rear panel with a simple design keeping in mind the aesthetics of the device <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">minimalist<\/span>,  The back panel features a shiny square bump with dual-camera setup and LED flash. That said, the Moto G73 has an IP52 rating \u2014 one level below the Note 12 5G \u2014 which the company claims is water-repellent.  It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, which is located below the volume buttons on the right fascia.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Display\"\/>Show<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>The Redmi Note 12 5G has a slightly better display configuration than the Moto G73.  You get a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel that supports 120Hz high refresh rate, 1200 nits peak brightness, 2400\u00d71080 pixels FHD+ resolution, and 395PPI.  During our testing, we found the Note 12 5G&#8217;s display&#8217;s sunlight legibility and color gamut and viewing angles to be remarkable. Unfortunately, it lacks performance protection.  The device features thin bezels apart from a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera and a thick chin at the bottom.  Stay tuned for our in-depth review to know more about how the Moto G73&#8217;s display performed in real testing.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Performance\"\/>Display<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>While we are yet to test the waters of the Moto G73, the device packs a better hardware configuration than the Note 12 5G and should \u2013 at least on paper \u2013 offer better performance between them. It comes with Adreno 618 GPU, 4GB\/6GB RAM and 128GB storage.  With this loadout, the Note 12 scored 366,146 points in the AnTuTu benchmark test, and 635 and 1,991 points in Geekbench&#8217;s single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.  The Redmi Note 12 5G lags slightly behind the Moto G73 in benchmark results.  Both the devices have a microSD card slot for additional storage. <\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Battery_and_charging\"\/>Battery and Charging<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>The Redmi Note 12 5G houses a massive 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.  The smartphone should last you a whole day on a single charge.  The handset scored 16 hours 21 minutes in PCMark&#8217;s battery benchmarking test. While on paper its 30W TurboPower charging is slightly slower than the 33W charging speed of the Redmi Note 12 5G.  However, there shouldn&#8217;t be a difference of day and night in the 3W variation.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Cameras\"\/>camera<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h3>\n<p>The Redmi Note 12 5G offers a better camera configuration than the Moto G73.  You get a triple rear camera setup with the Note 12 5G vs a dual rear camera setup with the Moto G73.  However, the Redmi Note 12 5G uses a 48MP primary shooter, while the Moto G73 comes equipped with a 50MP primary sensor. The Redmi Note 12 5G sports a 13MP front-facing snapper, while the Moto G73 has a better 16MP shooter for selfies and video calls.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll have to wait for our in-depth Moto G73 review to know about its camera-capturing prowess in real life.
