First of all, we would like to thank you.  That\u2019s because we firmly believe that you\u2019ve managed to deliver on the promise you made when you first entered the smartphone market with your new brand, Nothing.  Your departure from OnePlus was nothing less than a shock to us and most of the tech world.  Things were going so well after all.  OnePlus had become one of the top brands (which it still is) and was successfully branching out into other tech areas (which it still is). Trust us, we were both relieved and excited.  With this new initiative you promised that you would be defibrillating the seemingly dead tech world and bringing excitement back into the scene.  Initially, we thought you were just bluffing, trying to get attention.  But when you launched your first Gadget Nothing Year (1) in 2021, we realized these promises weren\u2019t empty and you really wanted to deliver on the excitement you promised back in the day.  The same happened in the year 2022 when you released Nothing Phone (1) and Nothing Ear (Stick). You obviously started talking about releasing successors to the very striking Nothing Year (1) and we were hoping you\u2019d bring Nothing-level design innovation to Nothing Year (2) as well.  However, we were disappointed when Nothing Year (2) started out looking almost identical to its predecessor, Nothing Year (1).  The brand that promised us excitement has fallen victim to the very pattern it once aimed to break. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now, the next thing in town is Nothing Phone (1), the successor to Phone (2).  And as people who love the Nothing design and the experience gadgets bring with them, we hope we don\u2019t see a repeat of the \u201cnew specs in an old package\u201d phenomenon we saw in the Nothing year (2).  That is why we are here with some tips that you can check out. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t get us wrong.  We are not telling you how to do your job.  These suggestions are not the usual technical fixes that many brands suggest.  We are not asking you to get more RAM, more megapixels, bigger display or more powerful processor.  Those are the basic questions and most successors come with these fixes anyway.  Kahn (2) did as well. We think you tried something different with the Nothing Phone (1) and even managed to make it look completely out of this tech world, but some units\u2026 especially those sold in the initial lots There were some problems with the units.  And in today\u2019s world, you cannot have such a problem regarding the build quality of the phone.  So, with Phone(2), we request that no matter how different or generic you may make the phone, just make sure it is sturdy.  This is really a very basic question. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The next suggestion doesn\u2019t stem from criticism, Carl. Yes, black and white colors are good but can you imagine how good the phone(2) will look in pastel colors which are popular at the moment.  And to take things up a notch, you can even add the same colored LEDs to the back, instead of sticking with white ones.  Oh how a Purple Nothing phone would hit the spot! <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While we\u2019re behind, we wish you that the next phone brings more of an insider look than the last one.  Yes, getting a sneak peek of those mechanical entrails on the back of the phone (1) was pretty aesthetically pleasing, but just imagine how cool it would be if the phone (2) gave us even more of a glimpse inside. It goes without saying that we love the feature too.  But just to make the Glyph UI a little more easy and accessible to use on the Nothing phone (2) (assuming there are LEDs on the next one (we hope there are!!), you might want to switch to the Glyph UI) This would mean that instead of having to deep sea dive into the Settings app to see the Glyph UI features, one can open the app and access all the features of the UI. <br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The phone (1) uses all of the LED lights on the back of the phone as a flash which sounds cool as a party trick but we\u2019ve realized that it can often produce too much light, which can make low-light photos worse can ruin.  Taken by phone (1). You claimed the phone was as close to stock Android as possible and while the geek in us loved it, we wish the shades of retro you featured in the phone were (1) like a dotted font or some icons, and more Be prominent and also popular.  We think maybe adding 4-bit-like fonts or icons, or going the retro route to make NothingOS stand out as much as the exterior of the phone, would make the experience of the phone (2) even more special.  Of course, those who don\u2019t like it can change it.  And while we\u2019re on Glyph UI, what about having wallpapers for the lock screen that are inspired by it?  I mean, it would be great if the lock screen on the front and back of the phone looked the same from the front, and we could tell who was calling by looking at the pattern of lights on the front or back.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It goes without saying, these are all just suggestions and ideas we had for the Nothing phone (2).  You really don\u2019t need to go about them in this specific way.  Chances are you might have something even better in mind \u2013 after all, we couldn\u2019t think of phones (1) or ears (1).  Even though our faith was slightly shaken after Cannes (2), we still have it.  We hope you will do justice to the name Nothing and bring back the excitement in our tech lives with Phone(2).
