According to Kuba, the Mountain View giant is working on building a massive network of all Android devices with optional support, or UWB, locator tags such as Apple AirTag and includes Google\u2019s own Tag codename. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cGrugu\u201d and many more.  Google has apparently shared the initial source code of Android 14 with OEMs who are enrolled in the Early Access Program (EAP).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The source code includes a new hardware abstraction layer (HAL) definition, called <span>,<\/span><span>hardware.google.bluetooth.power_off_finder<\/span><span>\u201c. According to the code comments, pre-computed finger network keys will be sent to the device\u2019s Bluetooth chip, which will remain on even when the phone is turned off. The functionality is very similar to iPhones, which have been doing this for some time.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The feature requires hardware support to keep the Bluetooth chip enabled at all times.
