However, unlike other instances of EVs succumbing to thermal runaway in batteries due to the harsh Indian climatic conditions, the reason for this Ola S1 Pro catching fire could be different.  The video that has surfaced shows a fire erupting under the seat compartment of the electric scooter.  It seems that the fire has not spread to the battery compartment as the front part of the electric scooter is largely intact.<\/p>\n<p>Although no conclusive reports have been submitted that include the cause of the fire, early speculation indicates that it may not have been caused by the battery pack.  Speculations suggest that the fire may have started after a short circuit that may have occurred in the electronics of the electric scooter.  The fire was extinguished using water indicating that the battery pack was not involved in the fire.  Ola Electric has not yet released any statement in this regard. <\/p>\n<p>Last year, many electric two-wheelers caught fire and many people lost their lives.
