This sentiment is not just limited to its products.  Whether it&#8217;s as small as the packaging of its products or as large as its headquarters, Apple Park in Cupertino, California, Apple as a brand has been very attentive to the design of everything it has built.  This design philosophy is often credited to the brand&#8217;s co-founder Steve Jobs.  Jobs was obsessed with simplifying technology and this included the design of Apple&#8217;s products \u2013 \u201cDesign is not just what it looks and feels like.  Design is how it works,&#8221; he once famously said. It was this idea that Apple made extremely simple and easy to use. The brand not only opens stores that house Apple products as showpieces but also provide an experience.  From building stores in restored historic buildings to creating modern, futuristic structures, the design of Apple stores covers some bases.  Some stores are such design and architectural marvels that they have even become popular as tourist destinations.  After opening these flagship stores in 25 countries, the Cupertino tech giant will open two flagship stores in India this month.  The first store will open in BKC, Mumbai on April 18, 2023, while the next store (pictured above) will follow shortly after on April 20, 2023 in Saket, Delhi.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are still a few days until you can actually walk into one of these flagship Apple Stores and experience what the hype is all about.  And as of now we do not even know much about its design.  But it&#8217;s understandable to have high hopes, as Apple Stores can often seem pretty out-of-touch. Apple opened its Marina Bay Sands store in Singapore in September 2020.  The store screams &#8216;Apple&#8217; in every possible way.  This is the first store of its kind according to Apple.  It is not only an entirely glass-domed structure that is completely self-supported, but also a store that appears to be floating.  This all-glass store is made of 112 glazed glasses that use only ten really narrow vertical bars for structural connection.  Completely surrounded by water, it is connected to land by a small bridge. When it first opened, the store had stainless steel, glass and stone interiors.  The space was given a facelift in 2016, and Apple decided to match its minimalist, modern-day design with the historic integrity of the building.  The tech brand preserved the building&#8217;s Grade II-listed exterior fa\u00e7ade of Portland stone, Carrara marble and hand-cut Venetian smalt glass tile, and chose a palette of interiors sympathetic to the building&#8217;s history.  Materials such as white terrazzo floors, Castagna stone walls and bronze links were used to bring in an element of the olden days, while incorporating tall tree planters into its clean, green design that provide seating. The place doubled as a hall, with a twin stone staircase leading to visitors.  Another floor and box-shaped stools in front of a giant video wall play exclusive music and videos. Opened in 2018, the store is literally a waterfall of its own.  No, we are not kidding.  The Apple Store has two prominent elements &#8211; a fountain and a stepped plaza.  Just across the street, you&#8217;ll find a spectacular eight-meter glass fountain that not only serves as the entrance to the Apple Store but also as a backdrop to the massive outdoor amphitheater.  The experience of entering through this glass fountain is very multisensory and changes throughout the day as the sunlight passes through the water.  At night, the fountain creates a kaleidoscope effect as the reflection of the water moves through the sky. The store speaks fluently the design language that Apple specializes in.  It literally makes the distinction between &#8216;inside and out&#8217; disappear with its transparent glass wall, a popular design element in many of Apple&#8217;s stores.  Covering it is a cantilevered carbon fiber roof that appears to float on top of the store and is only <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">supported by a stone-covered core and no other outer pillars for support.  Apple also gives visitors a virtual tour of Apple Park using augmented reality on iPads and iPhones and the roof of the store offers a real-time view of the main office. That really poor joke takes nothing away from the architectural marvel of the Apple Store at The Dubai Mall.  Opened in 2017, the store features a massive 186 ft curved frontage that offers visitors a spectacular view of the world&#8217;s tallest skyscraper, the Burj Khalifa, and the famous Dubai Fountain.  It is also the most visited Apple Store in the world, with over 80 million people visiting each year.  Another major attraction of this store are the carbon fiber &#8216;solar wings&#8217; that shade the store and protect it from the scorching heat of Dubai. Located in Ratchaprasong<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">    in the crossroads<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">    The Central World, which is Bangkok&#8217;s largest shopping plaza, store was opened in 2020.  It has curved glass that surrounds the store from top to bottom.  The centerpiece of this all-glass store is a tree-shaped column made of European white oak blocks, which extends into a canopy at the top and hangs above the store.  The store has two floors, connected by a spiral staircase that wraps around the tree trunk in the middle.  The store also has a cylindrical lift, which has been mirror polished so that it can camouflage with its surroundings.
