But this year, it&#8217;s only April, and Apple is already making headlines.  And that too for a completely different reason.  All this buzz around Apple is not because of a new iPhone, MacBook, iPad or Apple Watch.  Actually, it is not related to any product at all.  The reason why Apple is in the news in mid-April is because the brand has launched two of its flagship Apple Stores in the country, one in Mumbai and the other in Delhi. We already have retail stores of many brands and they just sell the products.  Well, Apple Stores are different. In many brands, design is often limited to the products they make.  Apple on the other hand carries with it a commitment (some might even say &#8220;obsession&#8221;) with design and experience that goes into a lot of thought for the design of everything including products and packaging, and the same goes for its stores.  So much so that some major Apple stores around the world have actually become popular tourist destinations and even receive more footfall than some &#8220;regular&#8221; tourist spots in the same area.  Apple has opened stores in historic buildings such as an abandoned 1920s movie theater in Los Angeles or Regent Street in London.  In such locations, Apple has used sympathetic architecture and materials that respect the historic building that existed before the store.  Then there are stores that are downright futuristic such as the Dubai Mall that has the world&#8217;s largest kinetic art installation and the one in Singapore that is actually a floating glass ball.
