Employees\u2019 Pension Fund Organization (EPFO) on March 28, 2023 fixed 8.15% interest on provident fund (PF) amount for the financial year 2022-23 (FY23). The interest will be officially notified in the official gazette after approval from the finance ministry. After this the interest will come in your PF account.<\/p>\n

Your PF (Provident Fund) account number is the key to know all the details about your pension fund. If you are not already aware of it, and are not able to track your EPF account, there are several ways to know your PF account number.<\/span><\/p>\n

Your salary slip will mention your PF account number as a certain part of your salary is deducted as monthly contribution to your PF account.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you know your UAN, here\u2019s how to check your PF number on your EPF passbook:<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Important Points: PF Number and UAN<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

Your PF number is not the same as your UAN. PF number is a 22 digit alphanumeric number which is given to every employee in the company providing PF benefits. On the other hand, UAN or Universal Account Number is a 12 digit umbrella ID, allotted by EPFO \u200b\u200bto all eligible employees. A member can have multiple PF numbers but only one UAN.<\/span><\/p>\n
