Thunivu is a South Indian Tamil language action heist film which released in theaters on 11th January and now Thunivu OTT release date has arrived. Netflix India South took to Twitter to reveal information about the Ajith Kumar starrer film releasing on Netflix on February 8, 2023. The tweet also mentioned the five languages in which the film would stream.
Thunivu was initially announced as Ajith’s 61st film in the lead in February 2022 with the title AK 61; However, the official title was announced in September 2022. The film is touted to be the first blockbuster of 2023 from the Kollywood industry, though it has received mixed reviews from critics.
Where to watch Thunivu on OTT?
According to Netflix South India’s tweet, Thunivu will start streaming on OTT platform Netflix from February 8, 2023, four weeks after its theatrical release. The film will be streamed in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu. The tweet also mentioned two hashtags, ThunivuOnNetflix and NoGutsNoGlory, along with the line We can’t keep screaming! Basically, Chilla Chilla is the first single from the film and it was slated to release on December 9, 2022.

Thunivu directed by H. Vinoth stars Ajith Kumar as Dark Devil and Manzoor Warrier as Kanmani, Samuthirakani as Dayalan, John Kokken as Krish, Ajay Kumar as ACP Ramachandran and Radha as Radha. There are others in supporting roles including Veera. The film is produced by Boney Kapoor and has received an IMDB rating of 6.8 out of 10.
Music of the film is composed by Ghibran and as a music composer, Thunivu is his 50th film. Moreover, this is Ghibran’s second collaboration with both the actors. Ajith Kumar and producer Boney Kapoor after their 2022 film Valimai.
