Redmi Note 12 Turbo rebranded as POCO X5 GT globally

While the Redmi Note 12 Turbo will be exclusive to the China market, the handset will launch in global markets including India under the POCO branding. This is not the first time that a Redmi phone has been rebranded as POCO. This also makes the POCO X5 GT the company’s first X GT series model in India.

Redmi Note 12 Turbo is tipped to come with a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, and narrow bezels. Powering the phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen2 SoC which is paired with Adreno GPU for graphics. The chipset is paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The handset is likely to boot Android 13-based MIUI 14 skin out-of-the-box.

Moving to the optics, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo Edition is said to come with a 50MP primary sensor, 8MP secondary shooter, and a 2MP third lens. The details of the front camera are currently unknown. The handset is said to pack an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. Connectivity features could include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging.

The phone may come with an IR blaster, boxy design and rounded edges. The Redmi Note 12 Turbo is said to pack a 5,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
