We also don’t know much about the Nothing Phone (2), but that hasn’t stopped this concept creator from speculating on what it might look like. Shia, who goes by the Twitter handle @concept_central, shared a short video showcasing the concept design of the Nothing phone (2), which drew a response not only from Nothing’s official Twitter handle, but also from founder-CEO Carl Pei. In the concept video, we can see that the Nothing Phone (2) retains the white LEDs, which the company calls the ‘glyph interface’, which is also a standout feature of the Nothing Phone (1). The Nothing phone (2) sports a triple-camera setup with a triangle-like design. And like the company’s design language, everything looks very sharp and geometric.
The punch-hole camera has been moved to the center of the screen and the earpiece is placed on top of it. The volume buttons are on the left side of the phone while the power button is on the right. Also we can see flat edges like iPhone 12 on Nothing phone (2).
Just to be clear, this is just a concept design and not an official or final design of the Nothing phone (2). But it was good enough to attract Pei’s answer himself. Considering that nothing good ever happened for the phone (1), it seems unlikely that we’ll see some major design changes with its successor. Though we are expecting some upgrades under the hood.
None Phone (2) Required Specifications
- Show: The Nothing Phone (2) is expected to feature an FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate.
- Processor: It could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
- Battery: The Nothing Phone (2) is expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. It will also most likely be wireless charging capable.
- Camera: We don’t know yet whether there will actually be a triple-camera setup on the Nothing phone (2), but the leaks suggest a 50MP primary camera with OIS.
- software: On the software front, the Nothing Phone (2) is expected to run Android 13-based Nothing OS out-of-the-box.
The launch of the Nothing Phone (2) has been confirmed by the company and it is expected to release in Q2/Q3 2023.
