Fans of The Witcher can finally get a glimpse of what’s in store for the upcoming season which will also be the last for Henry Cavill. Netflix has also given a release date and a teaser trailer for The Witcher season 3. The latest season is based on “Time of Contempt”, the second installment of The Witcher book series by Andrzej Sapkowski.

The Witcher Season 3 is set to start streaming on Netflix from June 29. This will be a two-part series with Volume 1 streaming on June 29th and Volume 2 streaming on July 27th. The Witcher Season 3 will have a total of eight episodes.

In the upcoming season of The Witcher, fans will finally see Geralt “come to terms with his feelings after two seasons of steely, tough-guy troop play,” according to Netflix. The trailer also focuses on this with Geralt saying, “Now, for the first time, I understand real fear.”
This is because in it Geralt learns that Yennefer and Ciri are actually his family, and the loves of his life. This is going to be the foundation for the rest of his life as Geralt and for the rest of the show as well. We can also see Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer calling out to each other in the trailer.
“Over the years, Geralt has claimed neutrality, eschewed politics and publicly asserted that witches do not have emotions—all to make his life as an Assassin easier to navigate. We We’ve seen him battle demons and demonic humans; we’ve seen how hard he’s hardened himself in order to survive. This season, he can’t do that anymore,” Lauren Schmidt Hissrich was quoted as saying by Netflix .
This season, fans can expect the same roller-coaster journey where the trio has tried to unite as a family so far. Hissrich teases fans by saying that the trio will eventually be together as a family but we’ll have to wait and see if that bond lasts.
The Witcher season 3 will see the return of Joey Bate as Jaskier, Anna Shaffer as Tris Marigold, Myrna Buring as Taisia de Vries, Eamon Farren as Cahir, and more. So there is a lot to look forward to in the latest season. This is also the last season for Henry Cavill as Geralt. Liam Hemsworth will replace him starting The Witcher season 4.
