Notably, Tata has so far delivered over 50,000 units of the EV for passenger and fleet operations in India.
Tata EV for Uber
Tata Xpres-T EV sedan will be deployed in seven Indian cities – Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. The Tata Xpres-T EV sedan will operate under the premium ride category of Uber India. The initiative is in line with Uber’s goal of operating zero-emission vehicles entirely on public transport or with micro-mobility by 2040.

Tata Xpress-T EV Price, Specifications
The Tata XPres-T EV sedan gets a 25.5kWh and a new 26kWh battery pack option. The new trim level is based on Tata’s Ziptron technology which powers the Tata Nexon EV, Tata Tiago EV and Tata Tigor EV. Tata’s Ziptron technology is a high-voltage architecture that uses a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor producing 75hp and 170Nm. The smaller battery pack offers an ARAI-certified range of 277 km which goes up to 315 km on the larger battery pack. Tata says the battery can go from zero to 80 percent charge in 59 minutes and 110 minutes for the 26kWh and 25.5kWh battery packs, respectively, using the DC charger.
Tata XPres-T EV sedan is priced 14.98 lakh (ex-showroom) but Rs 2.6 lakh in subsidy can be availed under the FAME II scheme.
