An interesting fact from the video officially posted by Redmi is that the phone was able to touch 290W (not the claimed 300W) only once and that too for around 3 seconds.
Redmi 300W fast charging solution
The Redmi 300W fast charging solution is by far the fastest in the market. This is the theoretical maximum speed that the charger and battery can reach. It is possible that the optimized Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition in the video is reducing the speed for security reasons. The adapter itself comes with double GaN technology and has “over 50 security protections”. Despite this, the size of the charger remains small.
Neither Xiaomi nor Redmi has mentioned when the 300W fast charging solution will be made available to customers. But we believe the solution will be available in China first and will be rolled out globally later. Since the technology is from Redmi, there are high chances it may come to the Note series models first. We should get more details on the new charging solution soon.
