Starfield Release Delayed To September, June Showcase Date Announced

Bethesda has shared a new trailer for Starfield that reveals its September 6th release date. The publisher has also revealed that there will be a Starfield Direct on June 11, right after the Xbox Game Showcase on the same day. The showcase will now take place on the weekend between this year’s Summer Game Fest and E3. In the announcement video, Bethesda game director and executive producer Todd Howard said, “On behalf of me and everyone here at Bethesda, we are very excited to tell you when Starfield is coming out this year. Have put ourselves into the game and I’m also surprised at how much we can put in, it’s huge.” Howard continued, “This June we’re going to get you into the studio, and give you a sneak peek into the game in our Starfield Direct. Going to dive deep. There’s a lot we still have to show you.”

The first Starfield gameplay was presented last June during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. The game was originally scheduled to launch on November 11, 2022, but it was pushed back to May in the first half of 2023. Hopefully, Starfield will not be delayed again and will be released on September 6, 2023. The game was delayed the most to improve the performance and gameplay experience on all platforms.
