Moto Edge+ 2023 specifications surfaced on Google Play Console ahead of launch

Check out the Moto Edge+ 2023 specifications listed on Google Play Console. The handset may debut in the US similar to its predecessor.

As per the Google Play Console listing, the Moto Edge+ 2023 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC. The device is expected to come with 12GB of RAM and pack an FHD+ display with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter. Moto Edge+ 2023 out of box will run on Android 13 OS. That’s almost everything that has been revealed through the Google Play Console listing.

To recall, the same device was also listed on the Bluetooth SIG certification, which suggested that the Moto X40 will be rebranded as the Moto Edge+ by 2023 for the US markets and the Moto Edge 40 for global markets.

Assuming the Moto Edge+ 2023 is indeed a rebrand of the Moto X40, the specifications are likely to be similar. Phone flaunts 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with curved screen, punch-hole cutout for selfie snapper, 165Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, DC dimming, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, DCI-P3 color gamut, 1300nits brightness, and 10bit Colour.

Powering the phone will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with Adreno GPU for graphics. The chipset will be paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The phone runs on Android 13 OS out-of-the-box.

The Moto Edge+ 2023 aka Moto Edge 40 will pack a 4,600mAh battery with 125W fast wired and 15W wireless charging support. For cameras, the Motorola Edge 40 packs triple cameras at the back, consisting of a 50MP primary unit with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x zoom.
