The enhancements are now available in South Korea as part of the second software update rolled out in March 2023 for the Galaxy S23 series. It has a huge file size of around 922.88MB and comes with firmware version S91xNKSU1AWC8.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Series Camera Update
In a post on the community forum, the executive said that the company has increased the speed and accuracy of autofocus and the speed of the camera and gallery apps. We have mentioned some major updates here. You read the full text here.
- With the latest update to the Gallery app, users can now quickly delete freshly captured photos while they are in process.
- Since the autofocus algorithm has been modified, pressing the shutter button now causes the camera to take a picture, even if the subject is blurred or the scene is not properly composed. However, you can change this behavior in the Camera Assistant app (Camera Assistant ยป Preferences > Focus over speed on) so that the image is taken only when the frame is in focus.
- When recording video in low light with the ultrawide camera’s Super Steady mode, sharpness is increased and flicker is reduced. Super Steady Mode requires bright light, so the Camera app will alert you to the fact if you use it.
- When taking pictures with the rear camera in “Photo” mode, a green line will not appear on the left side.
- Enhanced video stabilization when using the rear-facing camera at Full HD 60 frames per second and with the Auto FPS setting turned off.
- Fixes the sky banding problem that is visible in high resolution and medium-low ambient light (50MP or 200MP). The overall sharpness of the 50MP and 200MP modes has improved. To address the sporadic blurring issue, Samsung has also beefed up the OIS performance.
While the Samsung Galaxy S23 series impressed users with its amazing camera capabilities, a few issues created an uproar among the users. However, the above camera updates and improvements will be available in other countries soon. However, they may appear in April 2023.
