Vivo Pad 2 render shows dual rear cameras, three color options

The render (seen above) shows the rear panel of the Vivo Pad 2. We can see a circular camera module that houses the dual camera sensors and an LED flash. We also see pogo pins at the bottom of the rear panel for connecting the keyboard folio. The upcoming tablet will be available in three color options: Grey, Blue and Purple.

As you can see from the image above, Vivo has made some subtle changes to the design of the Vivo Pad 2. It looks clear with the rear camera module missing the rectangular housing that was seen on the predecessor. The placement of the pogo pins has also changed due to the change in tablet size. It is wider, after all, now thanks to a bigger screen. Talking about which, let’s talk about the specifications of Vivo Pad 2.

Vivo Pad 2 specifications revealed before launch

The Vivo Pad 2 will feature a 12.1-inch LCD display, which is bigger than the 11-inch display of the original Vivo Pad. According to Agarwal, it will be a 2.8K display with 144Hz refresh rate. The tablet measures 266×191.6×6.6mm and weighs 580 grams.

The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset will power the Vivo Pad 2 and is also supported by a Geekbench listing that was spotted earlier this week. The tablet will come in 8GB and 12GB LPDDR5 RAM variants, claims Agarwal. It will also be available in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB UFS3.1 storage options.

The rear camera system includes a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP macro lens. There is an 8MP sensor at the front for selfies and video calls. The tablet packs a 10,000mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging. Other features include OriginOS 3 which is optimized for tablets, NFC and Bluetooth 5.3.

For your reference, the original Vivo Pad comes with an 11-inch 2.5K display with 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 870 SoC, 13MP+8MP rear camera system, 8,040mAh battery with 44W charging support, and weighs 489kg. is gram.

Overall, it looks like the upcoming will come with a few upgrades under the hood, including a bigger display, bigger battery unit, and a faster chipset. However, the change from the 8MP ultra-wide to the 2MP macro lens feels like a bit of a downgrade. However, we will reserve our judgment till the launch of Vivo Pad 2, which should happen later this month.
