Android 13 update for OnePlus Nord 2
Android 13-based OxygenOS custom skin vanilla is available for OnePlus Nord 2 and OnePlus Nord 2 PAC-MAN Edition. OnePlus says that this is a phased rollout, which means that the update will initially be available to a limited number of users and then expand to all users once the company is sure that there are no major issues. OxygenOS 13 brings new Aquamorphic Design theme colors for better viewing experience. The system automatically applies the Aquamorphic design philosophy to animations to make them look natural and vivid. The update adds a shadow-reflective clock, with shadows simulating the orientation of the sun and moon. There’s a new world clock widget which, as the name suggests, shows the time in different time zones.
The system has been upgraded to Quantum Animation Engine 4.0 with a new behavioral recognition feature, which recognizes complex gestures and provides optimized interactions. The update also optimizes the UI layers for a clear and crisp visual experience. The update adds larger folders to the home screen, and media playback controls, and optimizes the Quick Settings experience. There is a new Sidebar Toolbox, where you can open a floating window inside apps for smooth operation.
For personalization, the Android 13 update optimizes Bitmoji to provide more Always-on display animations. It also adds an automatic pixelation feature for chat screenshots and the system can recognize profile pictures and automatically display names in chat screenshots to protect your privacy. The Android 13 update adds dynamic computing engine to improve system speed, stability, battery life and app experience.
