Ved is a Marathi language romantic drama film which is a remake of 2019 Telugu film Majili. Ved also marks the debut of Riteish Deshmukh as a director and was slated to hit the theaters on December 30, 2022.
The film stars Riteish Deshmukh himself alongside Genelia Deshmukh and also has a cameo by superstar Salman Khan, who was seen promoting the film. On its opening day the film earned Rs 2.25 crore surpassing everyone’s expectations and soon became the highest grossing Marathi film of 2022 with a gross collection of Rs 75 crore. The film is now streaming on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar.

Ved stars Riteish Deshmukh as Satya Jadhav, former cricketer, Genelia Deshmukh as Shravani Jadhav, Satya’s wife. While Jia Shankar will be seen as Nisha Katkar, Satya’s ex-girlfriend and Ashok Saraf as Dinkar Jadhav, Satya’s father. Salman Khan Also made a guest appearance in the song Ved Lele as Bhau. The music of Ved has been composed by Ajay-Atul. The film received many accolades from the audience and got an IMDb rating of 7.8 out of 10.
