High Court’s decision in favor of MMRDA; Construction of Mumbai Metro Line 2B and 4 will continue




The Bombay High Court has dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) challenging the NOC granted by the aviation authority regarding restrictions regarding height near Juhu airport. With this decision, the MMRDA can successfully go ahead with the construction of Mumbai Metro Line 2B between DN Nagar and Mandalay.

“Infrastructure projects like the metro line to be taken up by the MMRDA are for greater public benefit and should not be involved in legal battles that delay project delivery and cost the exchequer. We are grateful that the High Court ruled in our favor and dismissed the PIL on merits,” said SVR Srinivas, commissioner, MMRDA.

Metro 2B Station
