Samsung Galaxy S22 price in India slashed after Galaxy S23 launch: Should you buy it?

Soon after the announcement, Samsung quietly slashed the price of the Samsung Galaxy S22 on its website. To recall, the flagship was launched for Rs 72,999 but is now available at a much cheaper price on Flipkart and Samsung’s own website.

Samsung Galaxy S22 was launched in India at Rs 72,999 for the base model but now the price has been reduced to Rs 57,999 on the official Samsung website. However, the flagship is available on Flipkart for an even lower price as the e-commerce giant is selling it for Rs.52,900.

Should you buy the Samsung Galaxy S22 in 2023?

The Samsung Galaxy S22 is certainly a good phone to have, thanks to the immersive AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 SoC, which can handle day-to-day tasks without any issues, and the phone’s overall battery life. It has just received Android 13 OS, which brings tons of new features. The cameras are still capable of clicking decent pictures in well-lit conditions and the software optimization has improved night photography to a great extent as well. there a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.

However, on the other hand, the battery life is quite mediocre and cannot last a whole day. You will have to charge the phone a second time any day. So barring this shortcoming, if you are looking for a compact sized phone that is powerful enough, the Galaxy S22 is a very good option to consider.
