The latest, the POCO X5 Pro, was launched in India this week as a mid-range device, and we compare it with the hugely popular Nothing Phone (1) that was launched in July last year to see . The POCO X5 Pro was launched in two storage variants – the base 6GB + 128GB model is priced at Rs 22,999, and the 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at Rs 24,999. On the other hand, the nothing was the phone (1) launched The three storage variants – 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB are priced at Rs 31,999, Rs 34,999 and Rs 37,999 respectively.

However, the Nothing Phone (1) has been available on Flipkart for a while now at a starting price of Rs 29,999 and has dropped as low as Rs 25,999 in recent times, placing it in the same price bracket.

design

In terms of design, the POCO X5 Pro sports narrow bezels along with a punch-hole cutout at the center to house a selfie shooter at the front. Volume keys and a fingerprint sensor – embedded in the power button – are placed on the right edge. At the back, the smartphone sports a triple rear camera setup on the camera island located at the top, giving it a dual-tone design. A 3.5mm audio jack and an IR blaster are placed on the top edge. The bottom edge houses the USB Type-C port, speaker grill, SIM tray, and microphone.

Meanwhile, the back of the Nothing Phone (1) is transparent and features five LED strips that the company calls the ‘Glyph Interface’. The latter is a unique LED lighting system that will give customers a variety of light-based alerts based on notifications, calls and more. In this smartphone, you will find a punch-hole display on the left side of the screen, volume keys on the left edge, a power button, a microphone on the right. On the top edge, a speaker grill, a SIM tray and a USB port on the bottom edge, phone uses a Optical fingerprint scanner, which is placed under the display.

The newly launched POCO X5 Pro features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 900nits peak brightness, HDR10+, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer. Meanwhile, the Nothing Phone (1) comes with a 6.55-inch Full HD+ OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, 402PPI, and up to 1200 nits peak brightness.

POCO X5 Pro sports a triple rear camera setup that includes 108MP Samsung ISOCELL sensor with f/1.9 aperture and 6P lens, 8MP ultra-wide angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and 2MP macro with f/2.4 aperture is sensor. A 16MP selfie camera is available in the front.

The Nothing phone (1), on the other hand, offers a dual rear camera setup consisting of two 50MP cameras, with the primary offering optical stabilization and the second using an ultra-wide lens. It has a 16MP selfie camera on the front.

The mid-ranger POCO X5 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset with Adreno 642L GPU for graphics, and the nothing phone (1) is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ 5G chipset.

In terms of battery, the POCO X5 Pro packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging, and the Nothing Phone (1) packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging, as well as 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging .

Connectivity features on the POCO X5 include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging. The Nothing Phone (1) comes with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and a USB-C port.
