London-based Carl Pei’s Nothing took the Indian market by storm with its much-anticipated Nothing Phone (1) smartphone. The handset stood out among the crowd with its unique design language and glyph interface. It is now believed that the company is working on a new Nothing Phone (2) smartphone. Additionally, there are rumors of two new TWS earphones in the pipeline and a new audio product from Nothing’s sub-brand Particle by XO. Nothing’s founder and CEO Carl Pei confirmed in an interview that the Nothing Phone (2) is coming later this year and will be offered as a premium device. While he did not reveal the exact details or specifications of the phone (2), expect the phone to cost more than the phone (1). To recall, the Nothing phone (1) featured a Snapdragon 778+ chipset which leads us to believe that the successor could come with either a Snapdragon 7 Gen or 8 Gen series processor. Apart from this, an improved set of cameras with new sensors could also do the tag.

Just days after the interview went live, a new report suggests that the Nothing Phone (2) will have a model number of “A065”. The report also suggests that the device will boast of an AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, just like its predecessor. The chipset could be coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Lastly, the handset could feature a 5000mAh battery which is an improvement over the 4500mAh cell on the phone(1).

After launching the Nothing Ear (Stick) earphones in India in October 2022, the company promptly pulled the Nothing Ear (1) from its official sales platform, Flipkart. Come 2023 and a fresh report by Smartprix in collaboration with Onleaks suggests that Nothing Year (2) could launch soon, without giving a precise timeline. As per the report, the design of the in-ear (2) may remain unchanged from the in-ear (1) barring some minor tweaks and changes. The earphones along with the case could follow the same transparent design language with the presence of red and white dots at certain places. Apart from this, nothing can bring many new features to TWS such as individual ANC support and transparency mode. In addition, features like dual connectivity, an advanced EQ setting, and Find Earbuds can also cut down on nothing in ear (2).
