Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Design
Like the predecessor- Xiaomi Smart Band 7 and Smart Band 7 Pro, the successor will also have a rounded design but with a slightly bigger screen to accommodate more text. It looks like the fitness tracker has two rubber coated pads at the back and the sensors have also gone through some modifications, mostly in terms of placement. We can also add two hooks on either side to hold the strap. Historically, all Xiaomi smart bands shipped with a single strap loop (except the Smart Band 7 Pro), with the tracker sitting in the middle.
Moving on, the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 will feature Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity and should be compatible with both iOS and Android platforms. We believe the fitness tracker will come with heart rate sensor, SpO2 monitoring, step counter, and the ability to monitor sleeping habits. However, take this news with a grain of salt as nothing is certain at the moment.
Unfortunately, the NRRA listing doesn’t reveal much about the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 at the moment. We should know more when fitness trackers start appearing on more certification platforms.
