operate at 33.5 km Mumbai Metro Line-3Also known as the Aqua Line, is 80.6% complete, Mumbai Metro 3 said in a tweet.
The Aqua Line has 28 stations and is the first underground Mumbai Metro Rail. Divided into phases, Phase-1 operates from Aarey to BKC while Phase-2 operates between BKC to Cuffe Parade. While Aarey to BKC has achieved 86.4% completion, BKC to Cuffe Parade is 76% complete.
Phase-1 of Aqua Metro is expected to be operational by December 2023.
As on March 31, 2023, Aqua Line’s total civil work is 92.2% complete, total system work is 49% complete, overall station construction is 89.2% complete, depot work is 59.5% complete, The mainline track work is 58.5% complete and the tunneling work is 100% complete.
