After the release of its official trailer Telugu The espionage action film Agent starring Akhil Akkineni has created a lot of hype among the fans who are waiting for its release in theatres. While the film is scheduled to release across cinemas across India on April 28 this year, the OTT release date has not been announced yet. However, as per rumours, the film is expected to stream digitally on OTT platform SonyLiv. Akhil Akkineni released the official trailer of his upcoming film via twitter, his tweet mentioned “Are you ready for a wild ride? My wild friends….. Its time to unleash the madness on 28th April. See you in the theatre.,

As per multiple reports, Agent is likely to release on OTT platform SonyLiv in June. However, there is no official confirmation yet regarding the OTT release date or OTT release platform. Reportedly, SonyLiv has paid a hefty amount to buy the OTT rights of the agent. You can watch the trailer here.

Agent directed by Surender Reddy stars Akhil Akkineni as RAW agent Jonathan Raj Shekawat as “Agent Johnny”, Sakshi Vaidya Vidya, Mammootty as Colonel Mahadev, Dino Morea as “The God”, Vikramjeet Virk as Deva and Abhijeet Mehta as I am Denzil Smith. Agent will release in five languages including Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada.
The film was announced by the makers in September 2020; However, the film’s shoot and release got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film has been shot in Budapest, Hyderabad and Manali among other places. The music rights of the film are with T-Series and Lahari Music. So far, three singles have been released including “Malli Malli”, “Andhe Ende”, and “Rama Krishna”.
