One of the key areas where the Pixel 7a is expected to receive an upgrade over its predecessor, the Pixel 6a, is in terms of Face Unlock support. The Pixel 6a didn’t feature an AI-based facial recognition system to unlock the phone, but with the Pixel 7a, Google is reportedly adding the feature for user convenience.
According to tipster Snoopy Tech, who shared some ui images In terms of the phone, the Pixel 7a will feature a flat display with a hole-punch cutout at the top center and slightly thicker bezels. Additionally, the phone will offer two types of biometric authentication methods, including face unlock feature along with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Google Pixel 7a is expected to come with a 6.1-inch OLED panel with Full HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The handset will likely be powered by Google’s in-house Tensor G2 SoC and will be paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS3.1 storage.
The handset is said to feature a dual camera setup with a new 64MP primary camera along with a 13MP ultra-wide angle sensor. For selfies and video calls, the Pixel 7a will rely on the updated 12MP sensor. Other notable features of the handset include 5G, 4G, WiFi6, wireless charging, Android 13 out of the box with the promise of 3 future Android version updates, and a large 4,500mAh battery with support for 18W charging.
