Salman Khan is legally allowed to take possession of his property: NCLAT

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has refused to pass an order staying the termination of the lease of a 27,000 sq ft commercial property owned by actor Salman Khan.

Located in Santacruz (West), the property is spread over 4 floors. Khan had leased his commercial property to Foodhall, a subsidiary of Future Retail Limited-TNSI Retail Private Limited. Future Retail is now bankrupt.

The appeal was filed by Koinonia Coffee after the actor sought termination of an agreement effective April 30, 2023. Koinonia Coffee operates the coffee shops in Foodhall and is also owned by the same subsidiary.
