An exclusive report by 9to5Mac gives us a comprehensive look at the expected design of the iPhone 15 Plus, a variant of the iPhone 15 series that is expected to launch in 2023, as per Appleās regular schedule. The biggest change we see here is the USB-C port at the bottom. This is in line with reports that Apple will make the inevitable transition to USB-C after EU guidelines require it.

In terms of design elements, the iPhone 15 Plus is finally shown to embrace the Dynamic Island, previously only seen on the Pro model. The notch for uniformity is going away for good. The report states that the dimensions of the iPhone 15 Plus will be 160.87 mm X 77.76 mm X 7.81 mm. This means the upgrade will be slightly taller and thicker than the iPhone 14 Plus (160.87mm X 77.76mm X 7.81mm). The renders also show a new, slightly curved display design, as well as thinner bezels that could make the iPhone 15 Plus a little easier to use.

As per the report, these renders are based on CAD files provided by Apple to its supply chain partners in preparation for the impending launch. So, it looks like the renders may be closer to the real deal, if that is indeed the case.
To recall, the alleged iPhone 15 leaked images were spotted just months; The images confirmed a USB-C port, Dynamic Island on the base model, and a larger 6.2-inch display. The leaked renders of the iPhone 15 Pro, also by 9to5Mac, also revealed the presence of a USB-C port. With a new port and some cosmetic changes to the new iPhone 15 series, will this be something that will encourage non-Apple users to make the switch? Only time can tell.
